The Lutheran Church of the Holy Communion is participating in a citywide display of ceramic art by many Tyler School of Art graduates and staff during the Education for the Ceramic Arts Conference held in Philadelphia during the last week of March. https://nceca.net/static/conference_home.php

The exhibition held at 2111 Sansom Street, is officially on the map, along one of the shuttle bus routes for this three day event; Wednesday, March 31, Thursday, April 1st and Good Friday, April 2nd. Volunteers from the church and the Welcome Center will host a Tea and Cakes cafe for visitors.  They are inviting guests into their beautiful sanctuary. The theme for this show is titled TEMPLES.  (The Welcome Center will be closed during this week).

Young children from the “Delaware Museum Hurray for Clay” program created 70 brightly glazed mugs , which will be sold during this event.  They will be available from March 28th, if you would like to preview them.  This gift to the church was by art instructor for the Delaware Museum, Jacqueline Jrolf.   Jackie is also an artist participating in this event and one of the curators of the exhibition.

Please consider volunteering.  Volunteer hours will be approximately- 10am until 2pm on all three days.  Depending on your response, hours may be lengthened.  Email Tamclements@gmail.com  if you would like to participate by your presence or baking cookies or a cake.

You are invited to visit this exhibition along with the many others throughout the city between March 31st and April 2nd.
